[ Ah, that's always comforting. It's a little weird to know someone else was biting on his mate, but to his nose it may as well have been the same person, so he's not upset or anything. ]
Well, he sure likes to play it tough. Reminds me of a certain somebody.
[ Hank presses against the mark and smiles. Nothing's going to get between them, certainly not something as ridiculous as his own brother-in-law. ]
You know I won't stop you. He's your twin and he needs you.
[ Gavin chuckles. ] He's always been the brains and I've been the brawn, pretty much.
[ He shivers a little at the press, welcoming the warmth after such a goddamn ordeal of a night. Sigh. Sorry Eli, he's indulging just for a second. ]
Yeah. It's better if it's me anyway. It shouldn't be for much longer, considering how fast he works. I'm sure he'll have a solution by next week. [ He turns to nuzzle his nose against Hank's palm. ] Now let's get into bed, I'm feeling like a little spoon tonight.
[ He snorts. ] I know. He smells like me. It's fucking trippy.
[ He's happily guided towards the bed, leaning into those warm and calloused hands he loves so much. Gavin hums and grins. ]
You know bed is a no shirt zone. [ He's teasing but serious. He reaches out to start fiddling with Hank's buttons. No sex but he still wants to touch!! ]
[ Hank smirks, sitting down on the edge of the bed and pulling Gavin down with him. He's not saying you smell weird, obviously. He loves the way you smell and taste and feel, Gavin. He happily lets Gavin undress him, even leans into his touch for good measure. If they can't have sex, at least they can cuddle skin-to-skin. ]
That rule applies to you too, buddy. [ Hank reaches over and grabs the hem of Gavin's shirt, ready to pull it over his head. ]
[ He's undone Hank's buttons by then, running his hands across his torso. Gavin grins. ]
I was gettin' to it. [ He lifts his arms up as his shirt is pulled off, sighing. He tugs at Hank's sleeves and peels it off of him. ]
Ugh, you're so hot. Not fair. [ He quickly shimmies out of his jeans and tosses them away before flopping onto the bed, beckoning his husband with a finger. ]
[ Hank shivers under the touch, releasing a soft sigh as Gavin runs his hands over him. Fuck, he's a lucky guy, marrying this. ]
I was kinda thinkin' the same thing.
[ He pulls his pants off and leaves them at the foot of the bed, following Gavin as requested. Yeah, so much for being the big, strong, alpha husband. ]
[ They're both super lucky. Gavin getting to wake up next to this hot guy every morning for the rest of forever, hnngh. ]
Just hold me tonight. [ He rolls into Hank's chest, pressing himself close. ] I'm gettin' the feeling I'm gonna have some weird dreams tonight, since Eli's creeping around in my head now. Just keep an eye on me.
[ Hank pulls him close nuzzling into the top of his head and purring softly. ]
I'll be here. [ Alpha will keep you safe. Even if it's from himself. And even if Eli smells like him and it's tripping him up. ] He might smell like you, but you're the one I married.
[ Hank happily cuddles up closer, wrapping an arm around Gavin to hold him in place. Hey, it's what he asked for. And Hank isn't about to give him up. He'll fall asleep like that, without a care in the world. ]
[ And it's a good thing he does because Gavin's dreams are absolutely wild. He fidgets and jerks around a few times, only subdued by Hank's arms and alpha aura. Dreams of their childhood, but from Eli's perspective. Wires, wires, thirium everywhere, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Chloe, funeral, Chloe, staying up for days making her AI...
Huh.
He eventually wakes up, utterly confused for a moment. He isn't sure if he's Elijah or Ezra for a few good moments, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. He remembers something Babcia said about grounding yourself and he clenches a fist so tight his nails press into his palm.
Right. He's Ezra. Gavin. Fell asleep in his husband's arms. He sighs and presses himself into whatever warmth is in front of him. ]
[ Elijah stays up researching vampires. It's very, very difficult considering the way his blood has an almost magnetic pull towards Hank and even Ezra himself. There's nothing online about drinking your mated werewolf twin's blood, unfortunately, but he has to suppose that this all connected somehow.
It sucks. Well, being a vampire sucks in general, that's no surprise. Soon enough the sun starts to rise and that's bad considering Elijah doesn't want to find out what happens when he goes in the sun. Not if he can help it, anyway. Maybe it's the flight or fight response that sends him into Hank and Ezra's room, but sooner or later he winds up curling up beside Hank, surrounded by smells that register as familiar even if they have no business doing so. At least he'll be safe with his alpha near, he knows that much for sure. With Ezra. He'll be fine.
His dreams are no less strange. Childhood moments going sour, meeting Hank at the DPD for the first time -- back when he was young and before he went gray and they're not his memories but Elijah enjoys them regardless. He sleeps like the dead, but it's restful too. He certainly looks like he's sleeping fine.
And Hank? Well. His dreams start off pretty good -- he and Gavin are in bed, having a good time, except Elijah's there? And they're making out? And it's really confusing? Yeah he definitely dreams about having a threesome except he's painfully aware of how awkward it is, so he can't even enjoy it.
He wakes up with a start. Somehow he gained another Kamski in his bed while he was sleeping?? ]
[ Oh yeah Gavin definitely caught a couple of those sexy waves off of you, Hank. Part of why he was confused upon waking up. Hank sleeping with his mate... he's his mate. But he's Elijah? So both? So weird. It was very weird, even if Hank is very sexy even in a dream.
But reality is setting in more and more as the seconds tick by and hearing Hank's rumble of a voice definitely helps solidify it. He shifts and leans up on an elbow, looking over Hank's shoulder to see... Eli. All curled up. ]
Why is Eli in the bed? [ He looks down. Yes, everyone still at least has underwear on. Thank fuck.
[ It was a weird night for all of them. Hank gives Elijah a shove—he's surprised he actually slept in his clothes and everything, he seems like the kind of asshole who wouldn't wanna wrinkle his khakis. ]
[ Well, that's a surefire way to get him up. Elijah jolts up, too asleep to remember he doesn't even have a laptop (plus he made them waterproof ages ago.) ]
[ Okay, that gets a cackle. Definitely too early in the morning for one but that's what you get when you wake up in bed with the Kamski Twins. ]
Knew that'd get you up, you dork. [ Then he sobers and gives him a look. It's undermined by the fact he's in his boxers and his hair is all matted to his forehead. ] Why the fuck are you in our bed? Did you get cold?
[ Oh, yeah, he was awfully warm now, wasn't he. Did he wake up next to...? ]
Hank? I, er— [ He scoots away, pale skin growing flush with embarrassment. Quite the feat now that he's a vampire. ]
I don't... I don't know why I'm here. I remember the sun was beginning to rise so I thought I'd find somewhere dark, but I was going to try the garage, not... your bedroom.
[ Oh no, that's cute. His brother is cute on very, very rare occasions. He snickers and his expression softens a little as he settles back down on the bed. ]
Hey, it's fine. You're still getting used to things, it's not a big deal.
[ Eli doesn't show weakness so... easily. Nor does he like to not feel completely in control. Best not be too harsh about the bed thing. ]
[ He's definitely not cute, wow!! Your older brother is just very disoriented and not used to these new instincts that apparently tell him to stick close to Hank and Ezra. He's still embarrassed though, time to play it tough. ]
Besides the embarrassing trip to your husband's side? Yes. I read up on some things... [ A lot of things. There's actually way too much vampire lore out there. ] But I'm not feeling any different than earlier, so that's probably a good sign.
[ Widdle Eli so cute!! He's so tempted to pinch your pink cheeks. ]
Yeah, it'd be a literal pain in the neck if you had to refill every day. [ He'll let you play tough for now, bro. Since they're in front of Hank and all. ] Did you learn anything useful yet?
[ Sorry you're kind of a third wheel in this conversation suddenly, Hank. He absently reaches down to run his fingers through his husband's hair. ]
Considering how much I drank from you, I would imagine it'll be a week until I need to feed again. Of course, without a living sire, it's hard to say if I'll require more or less.
[ Get ready to hear all about what he learned, too. Hank's cool with sitting on the sidelines, he knows family time is important (and he'd rather not talk about his dreams, if that should come up.) ]
It's not completely unprecedented for a vampire to kill their own sire. They tend to go rather... berserk when they do. Which I haven't, so I think we can count that as a win. However once the blood rage and all that passes, the once-fledgling becomes much, much more powerful than the average vampire due to being untethered from any coven or community. Since they are still vulnerable while they are uncontrollable, other vampire clans are known to band together to destroy them when this happens.
[ He clears his throat and looks away. Is he actually feeling a little guilty about the fact that more vampires could be coming for him? No way. ]
I would hope that won't happen, considering no one has any reason to suspect that I've been turned, but I imagine it might be a concern.
[ They both bite now. Think of the brotherly rough housing. ]
I'd hope so. I can only make more blood so fast.
[ He leans against Hank's shoulder as he listens, very interested. A lot of what he says makes some kind of sense and lines up with previous assumptions about this vampire shit. ]
Well, I'd think we'd be able to sense an 'uncontrollable vampire' in our midst if that was the case. Like I said, I think your connection to us is what made you... un-thrallable. [ Yes that's a word now.
But aw, Eli. He sits back up and reaches over to take his hand. ]
Hey, none of this is your fault. Whatever happens, we'll deal with it. We're all stronger together. [ He smiles. ] And of course you start out the strongest you can be. That's just how you are.
[ They gonna wreck and hiss and growl at each other. At least now they can't really hurt one another. ]
That's likely the case. Unfortunately all the information I found on vampires and werewolves was about how they're enemies. It's likely not a stretch to call our situation one-of-a-kind.
[ Which is always nice when they're trailblazing. And it's always nice to get a calming touch from his brother, even if he won't admit it. ]
I never said I was blaming myself. [ He was, though. ] Though it does suit me, doesn't it? [ He grins. ] At least I can pull my weight as more than just the pack's sugar daddy.

That, and he smells weird.
[ And good, because Hank's not taking his hands off of Gavin, not for a long time. Sorry not sorry, Eli. ]
Don't say it too loud, his ego's already its own zip code.
[ But he'd rather talk about Ezra than Elijah right now, anyway. Hank cradles Gavin's face and starts guiding him toward the bed. ]
When are you not? [ He smiles. His alpha instincts love being the big spoon, but they swap sometimes. ] C'mere, big guy.
