[ Hank's smile hits him like a smack in the face -- sudden and leaves him bright red. Gavin's not wrong. It's great. The glisten to his ring makes him smirk. ]

I sure did, huh? Lucky me.

Super lucky. [ He leans back and kicks his feet up on the dashboard. ] Though I'd say I'm pretty lucky too.

[ A pause. He's teasing. ] So you want me to draw up a prenup or~?

Pretty fucking late for that, isn't it?

[ Gavin, that's not safe driving!! Well, Hank's driving pretty slow just cause he's got his mind on other things but it's the principle of it, really. ]

Probably should've asked for that before I let you drink my blood.

[ Y'all are weird. Werewolves are weird. ]

Who would have thought biting and blood mixing on the full moon would be a big deal, huh? [ It felt really fucking good at least. His werewolf instincts just latching onto his feelings for Hank, offering himself up as a potential mate. It make sense in hindsight. ]

I doubt you're marrying me just to get at the residual money I get from songs Gran wrote over the years.

[ Hank snorts. Man, it'd been good, though. He can't imagine not sharing that primal part of him with Gavin now. He'd spent so long repressing it -- finally letting it out has done wonders for him. ]

Trust me, if I wanted money, your brother's right there. I'll bet he'd jump at the chance now.

[ y'all are so mean to poor eli. who is a jerk and deserves all of this, but. you know. ]

[ Gavin cackles and it's very much a Kamski Cackle and not one of his adorably awkward honks. Watching Eli try to navigate the psychic twin link induced crush on Hank has been hilarious. ]

Probably. I still think you should show up at his place with breakfast one morning and see how he reacts.

[ Ah yes, the Kamski Cackle. Weirdly hot and weirdly creepy. Hank's kinda into it. It sounds good as long as Gavin's the one doing it. ]

I'd give the poor kid a heart attack.

[ Hank laughs. He's weirdly attached to Eli now?? It's weird. It's probably a mate thing. He just doesn't hate Kamski like he used to. It's very strange. ]

We're almost there -- you wanna be the first to tell people, or should I tell 'em?

[ Eli always ruins it by opening his mouth, like usual. And he's glad Hank is, oddly enough... he loves his brother, despite his glaring character flaws. Hank and Elijah are the two people he'd most definitely kill for without a second thought. Scary. ]

I kinda wanna see if anyone notices 'til after lunch. [ He goes back to fiddling with his finger. ]

[ Hank chuckles. Yeah, the werewolf thing adds to that protective instinct too, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Gavin lost it for him -- or his brother. He feels the same. It's those pack instincts, and in Hank's case, his alpha instincts. He'll protect them all, it's his duty and responsibility.

But you know, nobody would be dumb enough to go after a cop, right? Yeah. Hank smiles down at his ring again, pulling up to the parking lot. ]

Detroit's finest, huh...? Yeah, I give 'em an hour. Two, tops.

[ Even Connor feels like pack now too... it's pretty fascinating, how all this stuff works.

When they pull up, he undoes his seat belt and leans over to him. ]

Absolutely. [ With that, he leans in to kiss him sweetly. ] So let's go to work, hubby.

[ You've got a whole new family, Gavin. Aren't you lucky?

Hank parks them in and sets the emergency brake on his car. Can't say the kiss catches him off-guard since they've been doing this for a while now, but it feels like... more, now.

It feels perfect. ]

[ Super lucky. Not to get sappy, but he thought he wasn't going to have a family again after Gran died... funny how things work.

He takes Hank's hand and kisses the ring before letting him go with a wink. With that, he slinks out of the car.

Connor is waiting for them like usual. And his LED lights up like a rave when he spots them. And then he does that (actually pretty cute) little smile of his, going back to his work. ]

Good morning, Detective Reed.

[ Connor smiles knowingly, his social protocols at least keep him from pointing out the obvious. Everyone knows Gavin and Hank are dating. They only don't arrive hand-in-hand for the sake of professionalism.

Hank follows just a minute after, his hand almost itching with the urge to show off his ring. Jeez, it's different from his first time, that's for sure. He likes it a lot. ]

Morning, Connor. We got any big cases today?

[ Connor shakes his head. He's still whirring away at yellow, but he doesn't ask. ]

Nothing new, Lieutenant. At least not on my end.

Mornin' Connor. [ When he passes, he lowers his voice a little. ] How's Chloe? [ Aaand a nudge. Yep, he's in a great mood!

He swans over to his desk and boots up his computer console, going through his emails. Is he humming? Since when does he do that? Oh, y'know, when he has a wedding band on his finger. ]

[ Connor flusters, blinking rapidly in that way that means he's either tongue-tied or getting a message. It's the former, obviously. ]

I, um. She's doing alright, as far as I know.

[ Hank pats Connor on the back, perfectly aware that he's doing it with the hand that now houses a ring on it.

It's nbd right. He's in a suitably good mood as well, though he's got enough chill to keep it down and sit down at his desk. He keeps casting glances at Gavin, but the smile on his face sure doesn't seem to fade at all. Connor goes back to his desk, happy to distract himself. Though he does send both Hank and Gavin a less than subtle message on their terminals. ]

It seems congratulations are in order for the both of you. Are you planning on holding a ceremony?

[ Connor will be so hurt if he's not invited. ]

[ You're so cute, Connor. Baby's first crush.

Gavin keeps looking over at Hank as well, just smiling. He can feel Chris roll his eyes every time he does; he knows his friend is waiting for him to first bring it up. The endless patience of a guy with a toddler.

He tries not to snort when he gets the ping of Connor's message. ]

You wanna come? Be our best man?

[ Connor's reply is instantaneous, which should convey his excitement pretty clearly. ]

Yes. I'd like that. Can I?

[ Hank shakes his head, still smiling. He may not be as obvious as Gavin, but he does shoot Connor a knowing look. He wouldn't want anyone else to be his first man, honestly. Jeffrey is alright, but he's not a friend the way Connor is. He's not in his pack. ]

[ Gavin chuckles and gives the android a smirk and a nod. ]

Of course, bud.

[ Then he gets up and heads on over to the coffee maker to get some. And, you know, a cup for his husband!! Husband!! He heads back over to Hank after a moment, cups in hand, and places one on his desk. ]

[ Connor grins from his desk, his LED spinning bright and blue as he goes back to work. Hank chuckles and watches Gavin go. Obviously. Then he smiles when he comes back. ]

Thanks, babe.

[ Lean down here and get your adorable and gross PDA peck on the cheek, Gavin. ]

[ Gavin does just that, happily being smooched. He returns the favor far too sweetly, with a quiet little purr just for Hank.

There's a clatter in the background before someone yells, probably Fowler: "Just admit you're engaged already!"

Gavin cackles. ]

[ Fuck, Gavin, you can't just go purring at work, you know how it makes Hank want to go all alpha and grab you by the neck.

Hank chuckles and does just that, grabbing Gavin's neck to leverage himself up and stand. He's the alpha here so of course he'll be the one to make the announcement. ]

Yeah, alright. No point in being fucking coy. [ Hank takes Gavin's hand in his and holds them both up. ] Reed and I are engaged. Hold your applause.

[ Oh baby, he loves it when you're all in control alpha in public. Gets him all twitterpated and flustered, like right then for a second.

He squeezes Hank's hand as he raises the up, just gazing at him for a moment. Then he grins and turns to the rest of the precinct. ]

So back off everyone, he's mine now. Don't be too jealous, okay?

[ There're a few audible groans at Gavin's little show but overall the guys wish them both congratulations with a mix of finally's and cheers for them both. They've been flirting and getting handsy with each other for long enough. People knew it was a matter of time.

Maybe if it had been a few months ago, people would wonder what the hell possessed Hank to go for a dick like Reed, or how an asshole like Reed could see past hank's drinking habits to find something worth salvaging but... it's been a while. Those days are behind them both. ]

Like I said. Applause later. We're not throwing some big party or anything. Nothing's gotta change. [ Just that Hank squeezes Gavin's hand regardless. ] But we figured we'd make it official.

Yep, nothing's gonna change. Just some more of this. [ He leans up and kisses Hank on the cheek again, eliciting more groans and a 'Get a room!' shouted playfully.

Honestly? Gavin's so goddamn happy. He remembers the days when he pushed everyone away, when nobody even gave a shit after Connor had given him a concussion. When he realized he was alone by his own doing.

It's different now. He's happy, has family, has friends, is hopelessly in love. ]

[ Hank blushes, pretending he doesn't totally enjoy it. Everyone knows now, Hank!! It suddenly doesn't seem that scary, either. Maybe letting people in is alright. ]

You aren't have a ceremony? Does this mean I can't be your best man?

[ That question would be sarcastic but of course... it's Connor. Bless his heart. ]

We'll see, alright. This ain't twenty questions, everybody get back to work!
