[ It could never be her as long as Hank was like this. As long as he was cursed—he'd outlive his family one way or another, and after Cole, it just didn't make sense anymore. Beth was never going to know all of him. The wolf he kept inside, caged but never tamed, is just as much a part of him as the rest of him. He can deny it no more.

Maybe that's why his ex-wife had insisted he never turn anyone. Maybe she knew that there would always be a wall between them, keeping them apart.

No such wall exists between Hank and Gavin. When Gavin takes his hand and presses it against the mark, Hank nearly jerks himself on the spot. An intense rush of need hits Hank as he feels everything Gavin is feeling, from the desire to be torn apart to the little spur of superiority he gets from knowing it's him that Hank has chosen.

Well, he's not wrong. Hank chose him. He bit him and marked him and he means to do it all again because he wants and it feels so good to hold his beta down and give in to what he wants. Hank squeezes around the mark on Gavin's neck and keeps rutting down against him. If Gavin thinks he's going to stop touching him any time soon, he's got another thing coming.
